Elizabeth (Liz) Kellison
Interim GCfGE Advisory Board Chair
Liz Kellison has experience in philanthropic and multi-lateral institutions, having spent many years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she devised and led the gender strategy of the Inclusive Financial Services team. She has deep practical and strategic experience in overcoming gender inequality in a variety of sectors, including digital financial services, renewable energy and agricultural development. Most recently, Liz has been working with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to refine their gender strategy, which aims to reduce energy poverty and increase women’s economic empowerment in its quest to help countries around the world transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy. She has worked closely with clients and partners like the World Bank, UNCDF and WHO as a thought leader, developing large-scale gender-focused programs with an emphasis on building local capacity. She brings a strong fact-based approach, using available data and landscaping to identify where organizations are best placed to focus on women’s economic empowerment.
Stephanie Psaki
GCfGE Advisory Board Member
Stephanie Psaki is a public health leader with expertise at the intersection of national security, global health, and equity. Psaki has held leadership positions across government, NGOs, and research institutions. She previously served as special assistant to the president and the inaugural U.S. coordinator for global health security at the White House, a role that included overseeing the federal government’s response to emerging global health threats such as mpox, Ebola and Marburg. While on staff at the National Security Council, Psaki also coordinated U.S. Government engagement on issues ranging from ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat, investing in health workers, expanding access to sexual and reproductive health services and protecting human rights. She previously worked for 20 years at NGOs and research institutions, including Partners in Health, FHI 360, and the Population Council, where she led a research center focused on expanding opportunities for young people around the world. Psaki holds a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and an M.S. from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Shannon Scott
GCfGE Advisory Board Member
Shannon Scott is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NCTA – The Internet and Television Association. In this role, she develops short-term and long-term strategies to ensure excellent financial health and sustainability for the organization, reporting financial results to the Board of Directors. Prior to this role, Shannon was the CFO at New Venture Fund, and worked with their Board of Directors, oversaw external partnerships with banking and accounting providers, managed the board’s finance committee, and represented the Fund in conversations with donors and project staff. Previously, Shannon was at the Greater Washington Community Foundation, where she also served as CFO and set financial policy and strategy. She also served as CFO at the National Housing Trust and the Council on Foundations, and spent over 12 years at Capital Impact Partners, a community development financial institution providing capital and technical assistance for community groups. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from George Washington University and an MBA in finance from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She currently serves on the board of City First Enterprises, a DC-based community development financial institution and Miriam’s Kitchen, a nonprofit providing services to end chronic homelessness in Washington, DC.
